Creation & Chaos.

I am intrigued by the creation and destruction of things. Particularly when they are juxtoposed. In Kentucky Barn I see both the new life of the trees and grass and the agriculture represented by the barn, while the barn itself is marches inexorably toward chaos.

Sometimes, as in Tribal I & II, this juxtoposition is intentional. Here, old, rusting drums are carved with tribal style symbols remeniscient of cave paintings.

I look for texture and abstract form within ordinary neglect. Surge (left) is an example. Here, the angry ocean is found in the rust on the back of an ordinary railroad crossing sign.
